We're seeking a strategic thinker to lead our vehicle fleet and office accommodation leasing portfolio. As Director Leasing and Fleet, you'll drive integrated strategies that align with whole-of-government priorities, manage complex assets and contracts, and ensure services meet operational needs while complying with public sector standards.

As Director Leasing and Fleet, you'll develop and execute integrated strategies that align with whole-of-government priorities, manage complex assets and contracts, and ensure services meet operational needs while upholding the highest standards of ethical integrity.
Your Impact
- Strategic Leasing Management: Develop and execute strategies for vehicle and office accommodation leasing that align with government priorities and budget frameworks.
- Fleet Oversight: Oversee government fleet operations, including procurement, utilisation, maintenance, and disposal of vehicles, with a focus on specialised vehicles like prisoner transport.
- Office Leasing and Secure Accommodation: Manage leased office accommodation, ensuring efficiency, accessibility, and functional suitability, particularly in secure environments like justice and law enforcement settings.
- Fiscal Stewardship: Deliver exceptional value for public funds through effective budgeting, lifecycle cost analysis, risk mitigation, and performance reporting.
- Ethical Leadership: Uphold and model ethical leadership and accountability, ensuring transparency and integrity in procurement, contract management, and operational decision-making.
- Commercial Leadership: Lead complex negotiations with suppliers, landlords, and service vendors, managing supplier performance and contract compliance.
- Sustainability and Innovation: Advance initiatives to modernise the fleet with low emission and electric vehicles and implement sustainable accommodation solutions.
Your Expertise
- Senior Leadership Experience: Proven experience in leasing, fleet, or property management within government or a large, complex organisation.
- Deep Knowledge: Expertise in fleet procurement and operations, including specialised vehicle management.
- Commercial Acumen: Strong financial management and negotiation skills, with experience managing multimillion-dollar budgets and high-value contracts.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with senior stakeholders and provide trusted strategic advice.
