Established in 1917, Cairns State High School is a proud secondary school in Far North Queensland, recognised for academic rigour, cultural and sporting excellence, and a history of innovation. Located in the heart of the city, the school serves around 1,600 students from Years 7 to 12 and maintains strong links with cultural institutions, local industry and international partners.

About the Role
We are seeking a leader who demonstrates integrity, inspires excellence in teaching and learning, and is dedicated to nurturing an inclusive, student-centred culture. You will lead the school into the future, guiding a committed team to achieve the best outcomes for all students.
As the Principal, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Uphold values-based, ethical leadership.
Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
Set high standards for student and staff performance.
Nurture positive partnerships with parents, other government agencies, community groups, industry and business.
Be future-oriented and strategic.
Manage department resources to achieve goals.
