The banks Security & Control department in COO Domain has an opening for a Third-Party Risk Vendor Manager to be based in Sydney.  Reporting to the Senior Manager, Business Continuity & Third Party Risk, you will ensure that third-party engagements are well-governed, comply with regulatory obligations, & support the organisation's objectives for operational resilience, risk management, & sustainable growth.  This is a Line 1 role where you'll leverage your relationship-building skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams across the bank.

Top Role Accountabilities: 
  • Support the design & implementation of the Third party risk management framework
  • Ensure alignment with both local & global regulatory requirements, including CPS 230, Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA), & EBA Outsourcing Guidelines
  • Partner with 3rd party business owners to evaluate & monitor vendors performance & risk levels
  • Develop & maintain dashboards & reports using Power BI, Power Automate, & Power Apps to provide insights into vendor performance, spend, risk exposure, & compliance status. Present & report on findings & trends to senior leaders
  • Facilitate training & awareness sessions on third-party risk policies, regulatory changes, & system usage
  • Support global & regional initiatives to harmonise third-party risk practices across jurisdictions
  • Deliver continuous improvement initiatives through lessons learned & industry trends
To be successful you will have:
  • Experience in either a Third-Party Risk, Operational Risk role
  • Proven financial services & regulatory framework knowledge such as CPS230
  • Third party risk management knowledge
  • Proven ability to lead & develop a team of 2 direct reports
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal & written communication skills
  • Strong collaboration & relationship management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Analytical & problem-solving skills with a strong critical thinking mindset.
  • Proficient with tools such as Power BI
  • An ability to creatively articulate concepts visually
