Project Finance Analyst

This Position reports to:

Your role and responsibilities:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to support in all financial and commercial matters related to the project. Each day, you will actively drive their respective project's performance.

The work model for the role is: hybrid

This role is contributing to the Distribution Solutions Division in Australia .

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Prepares project invoices and financial accounting and reporting (including project site accounting) documents.

• Drives revenues and project cash flow in their assigned project and seeks for optimization.

• Responsible for the accuracy of project balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow and monthly/quarterly forecasts.

• Oversees currency risk in project cash flow and implements/suggests appropriate mitigation measures.

• Supports the Project Manager in coordinating and preparing project reviews, cost reports, claim management, back-charges, and insurance cases.

• Supports the project team in identifying risks and opportunities, and in ensuring adherence to ABB's corporate governance, assurance, internal controls, and business specific finance directives and instructions.

• Supports the project team and Tender Manager in all financial and commercial aspects of the tender process.

• Implements and ensures compliance with the ABB code of conduct, global and local standards, tools, policies, and processes in their assigned area.

• Ensures integrity and compliance with ABB values and ethics in all activities.

• Demonstrates an understanding of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) terms, concept application, and importance.

• Leads their development journey by seeking knowledge and learning opportunities within the team.

• Manages relationships with stakeholders in their area of responsibility and ensures alignment.

• Proficiency in accounting principles and practices

• Experience in contract administration and oversight

• Knowledge of managing contract changes and claims

• Understanding of general contract management processes

• Capability in preparing and negotiating contracts

• Competence in data analytics and interpretation

• Financial analysis and reporting expertise

• Commitment to operational excellence and continuous improvement

• Familiarity with performance management frameworks

• Awareness of risk management practices and internal control systems

• Understanding of taxation regulations and compliance

• Knowledge of treasury functions and financial operations
