The Opportunity:

We are seeking a motivated Experienced Structural Engineer to join our team in Launceston. You will contribute to a variety of major infrastructure projects, as well as industrial and commercial developments; whilst learning to design in a range of different structural materials under the guidance of our senior engineers. You will gain valuable experience in a broad range of engineering streams in our flexible work environment. With offices around the country, there is opportunity for inter-office engagement throughout your tenure. Your responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

What You'll Do:
  • Structural Design: Apply engineering fundamentals to deliver intermediate to advanced structural solutions across diverse projects.
  • Client Interaction: Liaise with clients, design technicians, and team members to ensure practical and efficient outcomes.
  • Design Documentation: Prepare fee proposals, tender documentation, and contribute to project planning and delivery.
  • Collaborative Environment: Work closely with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality results.
  • Impactful Work: Gain experience across multiple structural disciplines and make a tangible impact on projects that shape communities.
  • Mentor: Share your expertise with junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration.
What You Bring:
  • Proven Design Experience: Experience in structural engineering design
  • Qualifications: Bachelor of Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of engineering first principles, 3D modelling experience (SpaceGass preferred, but other packages welcome), and strong experience in concrete and steel
  • Project Management: Solid project management capabilities and a proactive approach to delivering high-quality work.
  • Growth Mindset: Willing to step outside your comfort zone and embrace new challenges.
  • Adaptability: Flexible and open to change, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Attention to Detail: Precision and accuracy in every aspect of your work.
