Claims Lead, Worker Services

  • Permanent Full-time | 7.25 hr days Monday - Friday

  • Role based in Singleton office 2-3 days per week | Hybrid working available

About the role:

Reporting to the Group Lead Worker Services, you will lead a team of Case Managers, Injury Management Specialists and Claims Officers at the Singleton office. You will be responsible for ensuring key financial outcomes are achieved and ensure the team's behaviours align with Coal Services' values. You will also advocate and promote key messages from the leadership team.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Provide leadership and direction whilst allocating and managing workloads

  • Conduct regular claims reviews ensuring issues and opportunities are reported and rectified

  • Ensure team complies with relevant legislation, industry codes and company policy & procedures

  • Coach and mentor the team to achieve their potential

  • Foster a culture of customer service excellence and collaboration


About you:

Your education, experience and skills will include:

  • Minimum 5 years' claims management experience

  • Knowledge of NSW workers compensation legislation as it relates to coal miners

  • Successful leadership experience and/or mentoring experience

  • Professional qualification in the Personal Injury management field or business management field (Desired)

  • Sound knowledge of claims administration procedures and related systems

  • Strong communication, influencing and interpersonal skills

  • Effective organisational skills

  • Solid judgement with high level of strategic and commercial acumen
