Purpose of Role:

The Commercial Sales Consultant position drives sales growth by developing strong relationships within the architecture and design (A&D) community and generating qualified leads by executing account strategies aligned with the national sales plan, building a robust pipeline through industry engagement, and managing the entire sales process from quotation to delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive Sales Performance:
    Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets by developing and executing account strategies aligned with the national sales plan.
  • Build and Maintain Client Relationships:
    Develop strong partnerships within the A&D community, fostering long-term relationships that convert and grow revenue.
  • Business Development & Industry Engagement:
    Generate new business opportunities and project leads through proactive outreach, studio visits, and participation in industry networking events.
  • Manage End-to-End Sales Process:
    Oversee all stages of the sales cycle, from quotation to delivery - ensuring a seamless client experience and timely communication on project progress.
  • Reporting & Administration:
    Maintain accurate sales records and deliver weekly prospect reports, ensuring transparency and accountability across all sales activities.

About You

  • Proven Sales Experience:
    Minimum 2 years' commercial sales experience, ideally within the furniture and design industry.
  • Industry Knowledge & Passion:
    Strong understanding of the A&D community, with a genuine passion for design and furniture.
  • Relationship Builder:
    Exceptional communication skills and the ability to develop and maintain long-term client relationships that drive revenue growth.
  • Technical & Organisational Skills:
    Ability to interpret architectural plans and manage the end-to-end sales process with accuracy and attention to detail. Tertiary qualification in Interior Design is highly regarded.
