We are now seeking a qualified Auto Electrician to join our Sydney Airport team. This is not just a hands-on role in a specialised industry — it's also a pathway to take on more responsibility, grow your leadership skills, and potentially step into future workshop management opportunities.

What the role involves:

  • Carrying out electrical repairs, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance on aviation fuel trucks and refuelling vehicles
  • Conducting inspections, upgrades, and modifications in a modern, well-equipped workshop
  • Ensuring all work meets strict aviation safety and compliance standards
  • Providing responsive support across multiple locations, with some travel required between Sydney, Western Sydney, Newcastle, Canberra, and regional airports (e.g. Dubbo)
  • Working collaboratively with clients, fuel companies, maintenance and contractors to keep the fleet operational and audit-ready
  • Taking ownership of jobs, managing tasks end-to-end, and ensuring deadlines are met in a time-critical environment
  • Contributing to improvements, efficiency, and reliability within the fleet, including supporting new projects and equipment upgrades

What you will bring:

  • Trade qualification in Auto Electrical
  • Air-conditioning licence (preferred)
  • Truck, fuel truck, or tanker experience (advantageous, not essential)
  • Strong time management — able to meet deadlines in a time-critical environment
  • Customer service focus with a proactive, positive approach
  • Flexibility and willingness to take on responsibility, learn cross-business skills, and grow with the role
  • Australian work rights with any valid work visa accepted
