- Multiple part-time 0.6FTE positions until the end of June 2026
- Based from our headspace Narre Warren & Pakenham sites
- Support young people and families navigating the mental health system

Youth Worker
to join our
Intake & Brief Intervention Team
.
In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for young people accessing our service. You'll provide early engagement, intake support, brief case coordination, psychoeducation, and practical support – all through a recovery-focused, strengths-based approach.
Key responsibilities include:
- Intake assessments, outreach, and follow-up calls
- Psychoeducation and short-term support for young people and families
- Warm referrals and advocacy to connect young people with appropriate services
- Sharing "while you wait" options and resources
- Supporting group programs and resource development
- Contributing to service improvement and multidisciplinary teamwork
- Maintaining accurate notes in Each's systems (e.g. HAPI, Episoft)
- Participating in community engagement activities
Who We're Looking For
We're seeking someone with a genuine passion for youth mental health and experience working with young people with diverse and complex needs.
To be successful, you will have:
- A minimum Certificate IV qualification in Youth Work (or similar field)
- Experience working with young people aged 12–25 with mental health challenges
- Strong understanding of adolescent development and youth mental health
- Experience in engaging young people, families, and stakeholders using a recovery-focused, culturally safe approach
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
- A current state-based Driver's Licence
- Experience in service navigation, group program delivery, or telehealth modalities will be highly regarded.
