About the Role

InCasa Aged Care and Community Services is seeking a compassionate and experienced Aged Care Support Workerto join our team. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide high-quality, client-centred care to older adults in a community setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide respectful and sensitive assistance with personal care (e.g. bathing, grooming, dressing).
  • Support clients with daily tasks such as meal preparation, light cleaning, laundry, and shopping.
  • Assist with community access and transport to appointments, activities, or outings.
  • Deliver companionship and emotional support to reduce social isolation.
  • Offer in-home respite care for carers and families when needed.
  • Monitor and prompt clients with medications in accordance with care plans.
  • Observe, document, and report any changes in client health, behaviour, or home environment.
  • Ensure services are delivered in a culturally appropriate and inclusive manner, particularly for clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Work collaboratively with the broader care team to ensure high-quality, coordinated care.
  • Maintain professional boundaries and uphold client confidentiality at all times.

Requirements

  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) or equivalent, or willingness to obtain
  • 1 year of relevant experience in aged care, home care, or disability support
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and follow care plans and schedules
  • Bilingual or multilingual abilities – especially in languages commonly spoken in the community
  • Experience working with people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
