About the role

Illusions Magic Show Theatre is seeking passionate and engaging magic show staff to join our dynamic team in Surfers Paradise, Queensland. This is a casual roll and applicants must have an ABN and must be available Friday and Saturday afternoons and evenings. You will play a key part in delivering an unforgettable entertainment experience for our guests at our renowned magic theatre. We have a few different positions available from front of house , box office promotion work (these hours do vary and are from Tuesday to Saturday 11.00am-6.00pm) , on stage assistants (disappearing and appearing) and so on.

What you'll be doing

  1. Welcoming guests and managing front-of-house operations
  2. Assisting with ticket sales and providing excellent customer service
  3. Ensuring the theatre space is kept clean, organised and ready for each performance
  4. Supporting the magicians and production crew as needed during shows
  5. Promoting the magic show and other experiences to guests
  6. Adhering to all health, safety and security protocols
  7. Assisting guests to their seats
  8. Bar work for those who have a valid RSA

What we're looking for

  1. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage audiences
  2. Experience in the hospitality, entertainment or customer service industry
  3. A positive, enthusiastic and friendly attitude
  4. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required
  5. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
