Epping Boys High School is a proudly comprehensive high school for boys with an enrolment of
over 1400. A Middle School and Senior School structure recognises and enhances the learning
and wellbeing needs of all students and is complemented by the Boys to Men Program which
engages boys in learning, promotes wellbeing and builds young men who are connected to their

and performing arts. With more than 100 co-curricular activities offered and each year group

ethos of the school. A diverse student community with an Inclusive Education (Autism) Unit and
69% of students coming from a language background other than English contributes to an
inclusive and dynamic learning environment that is supported by an active and involved P&C
and broader parent community with a strong commitment to supporting the strategic directions

This position is for a second Head Teacher Technological and Applied Studies at Epping Boys High School. Applicants must satisfy the teacher training and academic qualification requirements for this position. In addition to the general selection criteria,
- Proven ability to lead and work effectively with both teaching and SASS staff to build professional capacity, mentor colleagues across career stages, and foster a cohesive culture of high expectations and excellence in teaching and learning.
- Expertise in leading the implementation, evaluation and improvement of curriculum and assessment to improve the educational outcomes for wide range of Stage 6 TAS courses, with an understanding of VET frameworks and pathways to support curriculum diversity, student engagement, and post-school opportunities.
- Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively with the school leadership team to drive school improvement through the school's Strategic Excellence Plan.
Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs
Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams
Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents
Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning
Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy
