The Team:

Join our award-winning team of Clinical Nursing and Midwifery Educators and Clinical Facilitators who work across the North West of Tasmania as patient safety guardians. We build the clinical skills of the whole multidisciplinary team to respond to patient deterioration. We develop innovative evidence-based programs to build the clinical competence of nurses across the spectrum of practice. Participate in whole of health service simulation exercises. Learn and grow with us.

The Role:

This role will provide Clinical Nurse Education and ongoing support to nurses at North West Regional Hospital.

You will need:

  • To be a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
  • Experience in using contemporary learning and teaching methods in the design and delivery of study days and workshops to meet the education needs of the nursing team.
  • Proven ability to evaluate education programs and activities

Details of appointment:

Permanent part time, day worker position, working 72 hours per fortnight, commencing from 15 February 2026.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $114,851 to $121,886 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance withNurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

  • Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type

Eligibility:

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria

  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse

  • Holds, or is currently working towards, postgraduate qualifications in education and/or clinical teaching and learning
  • Holds, or is currently working towards, postgraduate qualifications in the area of clinical/practice speciality as relevant to the position
