Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced GRC Consultant with a strong technical background in cyber, network, and cloud security. This is an immediate 6-month contract opportunity to join our team and provide expert support to a key client based in Sydney. While the client is in Sydney, this role is open to exceptional candidates located in any state across Australia.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a hybrid GRC and technical security expert. In this pivotal role, you'll act as a bridge between security policy and technical assessments, leveraging your deep knowledge to ensure the client's systems are not only secure but also fully compliant with industry standards. You will be instrumental in translating complex governance and risk requirements into tangible, effective security controls. We need a proactive professional who can navigate the complexities of a modern security landscape and provide strategic advice.
Qualifications
Key Responsibilities
- Risk & Compliance: Lead GRC activities, including security audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews against frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001, and ASD Essential Eight.
- Cloud and Network Security: Conduct Risk Assessments against network and cloud platforms (i.e. Azure, AWS, etc.)
- Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate complex security risks and strategies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
