About the role

Our client is looking for an ambitious and reliable Assistant Accountant or Accountant to join their financial accounting team, for an initial short term contract, with the potential for longer-term. The role and the business is suited to someone who is hard-working, reliable and holds strong month-end reconciliation and reporting experience.

The responsibilities

Reporting into the Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to);

  • Bank reconciliations
  • Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Intercompany reconciliations & reporting
  • Month-end closing process
  • Fixed asset register
  • Cost allocation
  • Journal entries and postings
  • Profit & Loss reviews

The successful applicant will have

  • Experience in Assistant Accountant role preferred
  • Strong reconciliation experience
  • Experience using a ERP system, ideally SAP or Oracle
  • Degree qualified
  • Excellent communication skills
