NES Fircroft has partnered with a world leader in mining who is seeking an experienced Maintenance Specialist for an initial 6 month contract based on site located in the Bowen Basin .

You will be responsible the identification of fixed plant maintenance requirements on a large established mine.

About the role

Main job responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Maintains defect elimination rhythms and routines, ensuring triggered events are reviewed, investigated, actions implemented and monitored for effectiveness. (RCA)
  • Builds and maintains cross-functional relationships with other I&S departments.
  • Follows the assigned Work Management Monitoring and Controlling (SAP) process steps to contribute to driving work management effectiveness and compliance of preventive work and optimisation
  • Review condition monitoring data, initiate new and/or changes to strategies to address emerging risks.
  • Implements maintenance Work Plans to validate the integrity of plant, equipment and infrastructure in accordance with defined standards and procedures, ensure compliance to the plans for equipment strategies.
  • Executes end-to-end detailed analysis of work processes, master data, and organization design to identify inefficiencies in the execution of work, diagnose functional and cross-functional business problems and to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Provide feedback for maintenance strategies during the strategy development and optimization process. Improve equipment safety and reliability.
  • Provides technical advice to the Maintenance Execution function to support work quality and safe execution of maintenance work.

About You

As the successful candidate you will possess the following:

  • Previous experience in planning within the mining or heavy industrial sector
  • Trade Qualification in either Mechanical or Electrical
  • Previous SAP knowledge and experience
  • Current S11
