Our client, a leader in the Australian industry, is seeking experienced and dedicated Forklift Mechanics to join their professional team. These roles are ideal for candidates with extensive knowledge of forklift maintenance, repair, and diagnostics, along with a strong commitment to safety and quality. Applicant Requirements:
  • Proven experience as Forklift Mechanics for over 3 years.
  • Skilled in testing and repairing electrical systems in forklifts.
  • Capable of adhering to safety protocols and conducting diagnostic procedures in a forklift maintenance environment.
  • Proficient in diagnosing and repairing forklift emission control systems and fuel injection systems.
  • Competent in diagnosing and repairing drivetrain components, including axles, transmissions, and clutch systems in forklifts.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on forklifts to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in forklifts.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, including inspections and adjustments to various forklift systems.
  • Replace or repair defective parts and components, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work, including parts used and time spent.
  • Ensure all forklifts are compliant with safety regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry standards, techniques, and equipment.
Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience as Forklift Mechanics, demonstrated by at least 3 years in the field.
  • Strong proficiency in using mechanic tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to handle heavy materials safely.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of liaising effectively with clients and team members.
