Our client is a highly successful Agribusiness seeking a Sales Agronomist to work in the Scenic Rim region of QLD. This location also offers a sought after lifestyle close to Brisbane with full services of a large thriving community. 

The region produces a wide range of annual horticultural crops including corn, carrots, lettuce, , beans, potatoes, pumpkins, melons, onions, and celery. 

The region also supports a range of pastures and fodder crops.

With a horticultural focus to this role you will provide growers with the latest in agricultural technology through a diverse range of crop protection products, seed, specialist plant nutrition services and integrated pest management solutions delivering profitable outcomes to all parties. You will also be involved with organising demonstration trials of current and emerging products to show growers at field days. 

They are seeking an individual who is passionate about horticultural agronomy and rural lifestyle who enjoys a hands on role and forming long term relationships with clients. You will provide cutting edge agronomic advice based on the monitoring of crops and soil tests to maximise clients crop production. This includes plant nutrition, integrated pest management, disease management, and product application techniques through all stages of production. 

The successful candidate will focus on the development of the company's business whilst implementing the latest in agronomic advancements and current technology to maximise the performance of client enterprises.

Tertiary qualifications in Agricultural science or Horticulture are essential.

3-5 years minimum agronomy experience is required with sound understanding of current horticultural production techniques with a high level of knowledge relating to agronomic and production practices of various horticultural & vegetable crops is essential. 

The successful candidate will be confident, highly motivated and possess sound management and communication skills.
