PURPOSE
  • Perform cleaning duties within rostered area. This can include but not limited to dry and wet mopping, vacuuming, damp and dry dusting, sweeping exterior entrances, tables, chairs, highchairs and cleaning glassware, dishes and cutlery.
  • Preparation, reheating and delivery/serving of meals including awareness of client's dietary needs and preferences. This can also include the preparation of any other meals such as sandwiches. Assist and managing washware, benches and equipment in the kitchen and dining areas.
  • Work within the HACCP guidelines including but not limited to safe storage of food and temperature controls and corrective action.
  • Perform associated cleaning duties after serving resident meals and as per the cleaning schedule.
  • Work in accordance with waste management principles and universal infection control precautions.
  • Ensure relevant details are documented pertaining to service delivery.
  • Maintain safe operating procedures of all equipment and ensure the environment is free of hazards.
  • Wear identification at all times.
  • Perform other duties as requested by Nurse Manager or Nurse Unit Manager.
