GIS Data Analyst /Subject Matter Expert

An opportunity to join the market-leading provider of geospatial IT services in Melbourne. We are a key provider of specialist GIS consulting, development, training, and support services to a wide range of clients across Australia, Europe, and internationally.

We are looking for GIS Data Analysts / Subject Matter Experts who can support the delivery of high-quality geospatial solutions through data maintenance, quality assurance, and client collaboration. This role is critical in ensuring the design, delivery, and optimisation of spatial data solutions that meet client and organisational objectives.

This is a remote work-from-home opportunity with close collaboration across our teams in Australia and offshore. You can be based anywhere in Australia.


Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct QA/QC of geospatial data.
  • Provide structured feedback on techniques and quality issues.
  • Manage data maintenance, including regular field updates of gas networks in a Smallworld GIS environment.
  • Liaise with clients on technical issues and report project progress.
  • Undertake software testing and contribute to continuous improvement of GIS workflows.

Essential Skills and Experience
  • Knowledge and/or experience with GE Smallworld GIS (preferred).
  • Civil/Survey qualification (e.g., drafting, technical officer).
  • Strong GIS operator skills (ideally Smallworld or ESRI).
  • Experience working with gas or electrical networks (desirable).
  • Strong team collaboration skills in distributed/remote environments.
