We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Teacher Aide to support staff in our Industrial Technology and Design (ITD) Department through an expression of interest opportunity. This hands-on role offers the chance to play a key part in delivering engaging and practical learning experiences for students. Pacific Pines State High School is a rapidly growing
secondary school committed to delivering high-quality education in a supportive and innovative environment. This is a part-time position, working 0.32 FTE until 12 December 2025, unless otherwise determined.

About the Role

As the Teacher Aide, you will contribute to the provision of a quality educational service by assisting and supporting teachers in the preparation and enhancement of learning materials and activities to support the delivery of Industrial Technology and Design (ITD) programs across Construction, Furnishings, and Graphics. The ideal candidate will bring strong practical skills, effective communication and interpersonal abilities, and a passion for hands-on, real-world learning. You will assist in preparing and maintaining workshop spaces, supporting student learning activities, and ensuring compliance with Workplace Health and Safety protocols. Experience in workshop management, resource preparation, and classroom support is desirable, along with a flexible, resilient, and collaborative approach to working within a dynamic school environment.

Your Responsibilities

As the Teacher Aide, your opportunities and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Assisting teachers and students with sporting activities and with school excursions.
• Assisting with the management and stocktaking of equipment and resources.
• Communicating effectively and displaying high level of interpersonal skills to function as an effective team member.
• Maintaining anecdotal records on students for use in reviewing student's development.
