Position Overview:
This dynamic role blends exceptional guest service with proactive event sales support. As a Guest Service & Events Sales Associate, you will spend approximately 80% of your time delivering outstanding front desk service—welcoming guests, managing check-ins and check-outs, handling inquiries, and ensuring a seamless stay experience. The remaining 20% of your role focuses on assisting the hotel's events and sales team by responding to event inquiries, preparing proposals, coordinating small-scale functions, and supporting the execution of on-site events. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a guest-facing environment and has a passion for hospitality sales and event coordination.

Key Accountabilities
- Anticipate and attend to the guest's needs and desires immediately.
- Offer a warm and friendly welcome to hotel guests as they enter and depart from the Hotel.
- Check guests in and out with efficiency and friendliness and in accordance with the established Hotel procedural guidelines.
- Process daily guest transactions and accounts accurately and efficiently.
- Work with the Housekeeping and Maintenance departments, to ensure that the Hotel's rooms are properly prepared for arriving guests.
- Communicate any guest special request to the appropriate department(s) and follow up to make certain the request has been fulfilled in accordance with the guest's wishes.
- Actively listen to and resolve any guest issues.
- Participate in all rostered theoretical and on-the-job training sessions.
- Comply with all of the hotel's operational policies & procedures.
- Represent the hotel as its main contact for events and group bookings
- Work collaboratively with food and beverage, kitchen, and front office teams
- Handle client inquiries, proposals, and site inspections
- Build and maintain strong client relationships (for events)
- Proficiency with Opera Cloud, Ivvy and Lanyon programmes would be favourable
