This position is being offered in a Temporary Part-Time capacity (0.83FTE), 30 hours per fortnight.

Spinifex State College is a vibrant multi-campus secondary school located in Mount Isa, Queensland. Serving students from Years 7 to 12, the college offers a diverse and inclusive learning environment with a strong focus on academic achievement, vocational education, and student wellbeing. With strong ties to the local community and industry, Spinifex provides real-world learning opportunities that prepare students for life beyond school.

Step Into Your Next Chapter:

  • Identify barriers to young people achieving outcomes and referral to appropriate support services.
  • Maintain records of student contact on a daily basis.
  • Support students to achieve satisfactory learning outcomes.
  • Develop and monitor post program support as required to meet program performance criteria.
  • Develop and foster relationships between the school and families of students to assist at risk students to remain engaged with education or training.
