We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer with strong hands-on experience in Java 8 to join our team. The primary focus of this role is to remediate or risk-accept Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs) in legacy Java applications. This is an initial 4-month contract, augmenting our finance client's project on-site in Sydney CBD.

Your day at NTT

  • Analyze, remediate, or risk-accept CVEs in Java applications.
  • Perform reachability analysis to assess exploitability of vulnerabilities.
  • Maintain and enhance legacy Java applications with a focus on security and stability.
  • Collaborate with security teams to triage and prioritize vulnerabilities.
  • Integrate and manage Maven dependencies with a focus on minimizing security risks.
  • Document remediation strategies and provide technical guidance to development teams.
  • Use tools like Qualys to identify and track vulnerabilities.

What would make you a good fit for this role?

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Java 8 in enterprise environments.
  • Familiarity with Essential 8 Principles.
  • Strong understanding of Java/Maven dependency management and related vulnerabilities.
  • Proven experience in CVE remediation and risk acceptance workflows.
  • Familiarity with reachability analysis techniques and tools.
  • Experience maintaining and modernizing legacy Java applications.
  • Solid understanding of secure coding practices and vulnerability management.
