This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Construction Manager or a Project Manager ready to take the next step up in their career.
Regional Home Builders is an established new‑home builder with a reputation for quality, communication, and client service. Reporting directly to the Director, you will oversee all aspects of our residential projects, from pre‑construction through to successful completion.
You'll schedule, manage, and supervise construction projects in a timely and cost‑effective manner, while providing leadership across design, documentation, permits, procurement, site management, and project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the delivery of multiple concurrent residential builds whilst managing site‑based supervisors.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to Supervisors to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency.
- Monitor site performance across builds, ensuring budgets, timelines, and standards are consistently met.
- Drive accountability and a strong safety culture across all construction sites.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders including design and client service teams.
- Work collaboratively with the Estimating & Procurement Manager to ensure procurement activities, subcontractor letting, and budget alignment are delivered accurately and on time.
- Provide strategic direction and operational support to Project Managers, ensuring effective planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects in line with company objectives.
- Oversee and provide strategic direction for planning and building permit approvals, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
- Lead and mentor project staff, consultants, and contractors to deliver quality outcomes.
- Foster a values‑aligned workplace culture and drive continuous improvement.
About You
We're looking for someone with:
- Over 5+ years' experience in residential and/or commercial construction, as either a Project Manager ready to step up, or an experienced Construction Manager.
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Building, or Construction (or significant relevant experience).
- Demonstrated expertise in delivering construction projects end‑to‑end.
- Experience managing multiple projects in complex environments.
- Strong contractor and consultant management skills.
- Excellent financial acumen with proven ability to manage budgets and reporting.
- Highly developed communication skills — written, verbal, and presentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management platforms (e.g., Buildertrend).
- A strategic thinker with strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
- A clear and confident communicator, able to build trust with clients, teams, and subcontractors.
- Passionate about quality, safety, and delivering projects on time and on budget.
