About the Role

The School Technical Officer plays a vital role in supporting teaching, learning, and daily operations by maintaining and enhancing the school's ICT environment. Working closely with staff and students, you will provide high-quality technical support across the school, ensuring devices, networks, and equipment are reliable, secure, and optimised for learning.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing advice and assistance to maximise ICT operations, including acquisition, installation, maintenance, repair, and replacement.
  • Supporting staff and students with technical advice, troubleshooting, and training on ICT tools and equipment.
  • Conducting preventative maintenance and emergency repairs for ICT facilities and electronic equipment.
  • Maintaining technical services and accountable records related to ICT infrastructure.
  • Communicating with stakeholders to provide technical advice and ensure effective ICT support.

This role would suit a proactive, solutions-focused individual with strong technical expertise and a passion for enhancing technology in education.

About You

The following traits would be beneficial:

  • Technical knowledge of server hardware, configuration, and networking peripherals.
  • Strong understanding of PC systems, Apple iPads, and printer support.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with network security protocols and remote support tools.
