About Us

The Assistant Store Manager plays a key role in supporting the Store Manager with the smooth and efficient operation of the supermarket. This position focuses on managing staff rosters, overseeing daily store operations, and ensuring excellent customer service and team performance.

The Role

Roster Management & Staffing

  • Prepare and manage weekly staff rosters to ensure adequate coverage across all departments.
  • Monitor attendance, manage shift changes, and approve leave requests in line with operational needs.

Operational Management

  • Oversee daily store operations to ensure the store runs smoothly, efficiently, and in line with company standards.
  • Maintain stock levels, ensure accurate ordering, and manage inventory control.
  • Uphold store presentation, cleanliness, and merchandising standards.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety, food safety, and company policies.

Customer Service

  • Lead by example to deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Handle customer enquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally and promptly.
  • Foster a welcoming environment that enhances the customer shopping experience.

Leadership & Support

  • Support and motivate team members to achieve daily sales and service targets.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying and implementing process efficiencies.
