About the role

FGI Developments is seeking a talented Civil Engineer to join our team in Cairns, Queensland. As a Civil Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the planning and delivery of our diverse range of construction projects. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work on exciting developments that will shape the future of the local community.

What you'll be doing

  • Conducting site inspections, assessing project feasibility, and identifying potential challenges or risks

  • Liaising with relevant stakeholders, such as clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities, to ensure project compliance and successful delivery

  • Performing engineering calculations, analysis, and modelling to support the decision-making process

  • Monitoring project progress, troubleshooting issues, and implementing effective solutions

  • Contributing to the development of innovative and sustainable engineering practices

What we're looking for

  • Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a civil engineering role, preferably in the construction or development industry

  • Proficient in the use of civil engineering software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Bentley

  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to think creatively and propose practical solutions

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams

  • Familiarity with relevant Australian standards, codes, and regulations

  • Commitment to delivering high-quality work and a strong attention to detail
