Position: Head Chef
Employment Type: Full-time
Role Overview:
The Head Chef is responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, maintaining consistency, and leading the kitchen team. This role requires strong leadership, excellent organisational skills, and a commitment to food safety, efficiency, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all kitchen operations on a daily basis
Plan menus and ensure consistency in food quality and presentation
Supervise, train, and motivate kitchen staff
Ensure food preparation meets hygiene, safety, and quality standards
Maintain prep lists, stock levels, and kitchen workflow
Control food costs, minimise waste, and manage ordering
Ensure timely food service, especially during peak periods
Enforce kitchen policies, procedures, and professional conduct
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen at all times
Work closely with management to improve menu performance and operations
Skills & Requirements
Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Chef
Strong leadership and team management skills
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Excellent time management and organisational skills
Knowledge of food safety standards and compliance
Passion for food quality and consistency
Reliable, professional, and detail-oriented
