THE COMPANY
Our client was initially established as an accounting practice nearly 15 years ago and they have grown and evolved to be a very successful and well know boutique accounting practice of around 40 staff members. They have expanded their capabilities to provide their clients with direct access to a wide range of skills and expertise, allowing them to provide a total holistic service to their clients, including tax, business services, bookkeeping and corporate tax.
Like all start-up businesses the services they offered were modest initially but as they grew over the years so did their services. Today they pride themselves at being able to offer services generally expected from larger accounting firms and in many cases, they feel they can offer something more. They provide beyond what is typically associated with a Chartered Accountancy firm, resulting in better outcomes that are entirely relevant to each business environment. THE OPPORTUNITY
Your main duties and responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for companies and trusts, partnerships & individuals
- Prepare, oversee and advise on BAS, FBT, GST, Payroll Tax and statutory reporting requirements
- Assisting with tax planning, entity setups etc
- Assist to manage client relationships
- Liaise effectively with external and internal stakeholders
- Mentor and review work for junior members of staff
- Ensure workflow efficiency, accuracy and deadlines are met
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT WILL HAVE:
- A Minimum of 2 years' prior experience in a similar management role.
- CA or CPA qualified
- 8+ years' experience in tax and business advisory
- Excellent communication skills in dealing with clients and other staff members.
- High level of organisation and prioritisation.
- High level of time management and the ability to meet deadlines/follow through on tasks.
- A Can-Do and proactive nature and work style
- Ability to work effectively to deadlines & time pressures.
