About Laverton Health Centre

Located on RAAF Base Williams in the suburb of Laverton (approx. 23km west of Melbourne CBD).  This Airforce base has specialty schools (Language & Defence international training centre).  It is also headquarters for Air Force Training Group.  Being a relatively small clinic, services include primary medical, nursing, pharmaceutical and dental.  The standard operating hours are generally Monday – Thursday, and a half day Friday 07:30 – 13:00. 

Your Impact

We are seeking a Medical Officer/General Practitioner to join us in either a Permanent Part Time or Casual capacity.

As a Medical Officer, you will:

  • Deliver primary medical care in line with professional standards and Defence policies
  • Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team to support Defence personnel
  • Assess fitness for duty and provide pre/post-deployment medical support
  • Provide medical technical advice to Defence leadership
  • Work across outpatient and inpatient care settings as needed

What You'll Need

  • FRACGP, FACRRM, or Vocational Registration
  • Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Medical Practitioner
  • Minimum 2 years' full time (or part time equivalent) GP experience in the last 5 years
  • Australian Citizen – for Baseline Security Clearance requirements
