T and K Support Services is a values-driven disability support provider based in Ballan, Victoria. Our focus is on supporting participants to live with greater independence, build their capacity, and achieve their goals — however big or small.

We are currently seeking experienced Disability Support Workers in the Ballarat and Bacchus Marsh areas for an immediate start. This is a casual position with ongoing shifts, with the potential for permanent part-time employment for the right candidates.

What We're Looking For:

We're looking for support workers who are:

  • Passionate about person-centred support
  • Skilled in building real connections and supporting people with complex needs, including those with mental health challenges, AOD (alcohol and other drugs) backgrounds, and psychosocial disabilities
  • Comfortable working across a range of settings — in participants' homes, SIL (Supported Independent Living) environments, and out in the community

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day support with personal care, domestic tasks, and meal preparation
  • Assist with community access, appointments, and transport
  • Encourage and support capacity building and independence
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with participants and their care teams
  • Respond with empathy and professionalism in challenging or complex situations

Desirable:

  • Experience working with individuals with mental health conditions, AOD backgrounds, and dual diagnoses
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed care and/or positive behaviour support
  • A genuine interest in walking alongside people as they navigate challenges, grow, and reclaim their independence

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $32.00 – $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 35 per week

Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Evening shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Night shift
  • Public holidays
  • Weekend availability
