AusCam Engineering is a CNC Machine Shop located in Welshpool, Western Australia, serving clients in various industries in the Mining, Oil and Gas, Subsea, Aerospace, Food and Beverage sectors and more.

We have a great team of people and with the support of our suppliers and clients, we are building a growing company that is seeking a CNC Lathe Machinist. If you have a background with Milling, Manual Machines or Fabrication, that is a bonus

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Computer Numerical Control Machinist at AusCam Engineering.

Your salary will commence with the starting rate between $45-55 AUD per hour based on your experience.

The role involves day-to-day tasks such as CNC programming, machine setting and operation, quality control to ensure the production of high-quality components, maintenance and general cleanliness. You will be supported as you learn our machines and software as you work alongside the business owner and other staff members who can assist you.

Qualifications/Experience

  • CNC Lathe Programming, Setting and Machining experience (Milling, Manual Machine and/or Fabrication experience is a bonus).
  • Jobbing workshop environment experience
  • Quality Control of components
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Knowledge of different types of metals and materials
  • Attention to detail and pride in your work
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Positive Mindset
  • Must be a Trade qualified CNC Machinist
