West Coast Shade are currently seeking skilled Sewing Machinists to join our team.

We are open to discussions with people looking for 'casual' work, through to experienced workshop managers.

West Coast Shade has been at the forefront of the shade sail industry in WA since 1995, and are looking to expand our skilled team.

We are renowned across the State for providing quality products and services to Schools, Councils, Aquatic Centres, Mining and more.

We are currently looking to employ a Sewing Machinist at our Bibra Lake workshop.

Your duties will include:

  • Sewing and fabrication of shade sails
  • Measuring, laying and cutting of shade fabric
  • Previous textile or fabric experience is essential
  • Dispatch control
  • Stock control
  • Organisation & planning in consultation with management.

The successful applicant must:

Australian work authorisation is required for this position.

  • Have experience in the use of industrial sewing machines
  • Minimum 1-2 years of industrial sewing machine experience is required
  • Able to perform lifting & carrying of fabric and products.
  • Must be able to lift up to 20-30kg as required
  • Be able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal & communication skills
  • Possess a positive, enthusiastic and professional attitude with a strong work ethic
  • Be reliable and flexible
