Tait Mitre 10 is on a mission to expand its trade division and we're looking for a proactive, commercially minded Trade Account Manager to join the team. You'll cover the South and Southeastern part of Melbourne, identifying new business opportunities while deepening existing trade partnerships.
About you:
Actively source and convert new trade customers, building a strong pipeline and opening new doors across the area.Manage and grow existing accounts, ensuring long-term loyalty through consistent engagement and tailored solutions.Promote our extensive range of timber and hardware products, delivering expert advice to meet your clients' project needs.Achieve and exceed sales targets, contributing directly to our continued trade growth.Collaborate across teams to ensure fast, seamless service and delivery to your trade customers.Stay on the front foot with market intelligence – keeping up with industry shifts, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities.Deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and quotes, and bring opportunities through to close.Provide timely reporting and insights to track progress and inform future strategy.What you will bring to the role
Experience in trade sales, preferably within the timber and hardware industry.Proven track record of achieving sales targets and building strong customer relationships.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence a diverse customer base.Sound product knowledge and the ability to provide technical advice and recommendations.Strong negotiation and closing skills, with the ability to drive sales opportunities to completion.Self-motivated and results-driven, with a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing business opportunities.Familiarity with CRM software and other sales tools.Valid driver's license.Life at Metcash
