Research Officers are accountable to the Presiding Member of one or more Committees for conducting detailed analysis of information and policy; preparing complex and politically sensitive reports, briefing papers and correspondence of a very high standard and providing expert research advice in areas of relevance to a Committee which assists the Committee to fulfil its statutory and parliamentary obligations.

The position forms part of a pool of Research Officers. Assignment to one or more Committees as determined by the Clerk of the House of Assembly.  Please review the Role Description for more detail.

Appropriate tertiary qualification (degree) required.

Term appointment up to 2 years.  Can be extended up to a maximum of a further 2 years.
