About the role

We are looking for passionate Group Fitness Instructors to work with a motivated team across the following programs, Aqua Aerobics, Les Mills, Freestyle Group Fitness and Yoga. With applicants having the ability to engage and interact effectively with participants across a diverse range of ages, abilities, cultures and needs, you will create a supportive and inclusive ebvironment where every member feels valued and engaged.

Essential Criteria

  • Current AUSactive porfessional registration or equivalent
  • Current First Aid & CPR certificate
  • Current NSW Working with Children Check

Desirable criteria

  • Aqua Aerobics/WETS qualification
  • Les Mills qualification
  • Older Adults trainer qualification
  • Children/Adolescents qualification
  • Strength and conditioning qualification

Commencing salary: $30.90 per hour, plus 25% casual loading, and $25 per hour instructor allowance, (where applicable) plus 12% Superannuation.

This position has been identified as a Child-Related position under Child Protection laws in NSW. To be eligible to apply, you are required to provide Council with a valid Working with Children Check Number.

You will be required to undertake employment checks, which may include a Criminal History Check, Qualification Check, Working with Children Check, Medical Declaration and/or a Functional Test, as relevant to the position for which you have applied. Where a Criminal History Check is required and has returned a result that indicates disclosable court outcomes, you will be required to provide a copy of the report to Penrith City Council, for review, in order to progress through the recruitment process.
