Experienced Orthodontic Dental Assistant

We're seeking an Experienced Dental Assistant with a keen interest in advancing into a Clinical Supervisor role. Ideal candidates bring strong clinical expertise and leadership qualities, proactive problem-solving, and strong teamwork skills.

Work Locations

This role is based primarily at South Yarra, with occasional coverage required at our two sister clinics, Hawthorn Orthodontics and Berwick Orthodontic Specialists.

· Primary location: South Yarra – your main clinic (just minutes from South Yarra Train Station)

· Secondary clinics: Hawthorn and Berwick – occasional travel required (e.g. to cover annual leave or staff absence)

About You:

· A Certificate III or IV in dental assisting will be highly regarded

· You're great at building rapport with both children and adults

· You have experience looking after customers on the phone and in person

· Attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication

· Be able to work autonomously

· Punctual and reliable

Key Responsibilities:

· Provide chairside assistance to our orthodontists and oral health therapists (including note-taking and providing instructions to patients).

· Perform occasional reception duties when needed - answering phones, scheduling appointments, taking payments, greeting patients, and managing the front desk

· Maintain infection control and sterilization protocols

· Travel between clinics occasionally to cover absences or annual leave

The Finer Details

· The role is 2 days per week (Monday and Thursday).

· 8.00am until 5.15pm with a paid 10 minute morning tea break, and a 1 hour lunch break

· Salary: Negotiable based on skills and experience

· Clear progression path toward Clinical Supervisor responsibilities

· Immediate start available
