About the role

As our next Blast Crew member to proudly represent our Drill & Blast Team, you will live for challenges and thrive on the variety of work available. Located in the Shire of Yilgarn, on a 14/7 FIFO roster, you will thrive on meeting all goals and challenges, and act with fairness and integrity in all that you do.

Yilgarn Iron Ore Project includes the sites of Koolyanobbing, Windarling and Parker Range. The Yilgarn region has a long history of iron ore mining and is located in the Shires or Yilgarn and Menzies with ore being railed to Esperance Port for export. The productive mining areas are located on the land of the Marlinyu Ghoorlie Native Title Group.

In this role, you will have:

  • Load blast holes with explosives and stemming material as per design specifications
  • Set up and maintain exclusion zones and signage to ensure site safety during blasting activities
  • Support the Shotfirer with charging operations and tie-in procedures
  • Conduct pre- and post-blast inspections to ensure site compliance and safety
  • Follow all site-specific and statutory safety protocols and procedures

About you

To be considered for these opportunities you are required to have:

  • Shotfirers licence (advantageous)
  • Dangerous Goods Security Card
  • Current Manual Drivers Licence
  • Experience with Electronics
