About MSA Civil

MSA Civil and Communications is a Sydney-based contractor with extensive experience delivering council infrastructure projects including footpaths, drainage, carparks, and open space upgrades. We're trusted by Councils across Sydney for our quality workmanship, safety focus, and reliable project delivery.

MSA Civil is seeking a motivated Site Engineer to join our team, working across a range of Council Capital Works and Maintenance Projects throughout Sydney.

We're looking for someone who brings practical site experience and strong leadership skills — someone who can run a civil crew, stay on top of quality and safety, and maintain strong working relationships on site.

Key responsibilities include:


• Overseeing daily site operations and supervising civil crews


• Managing QA inspections and documentation


• Implementing SWMS, conducting daily pre-starts, and ensuring WHS compliance


• Liaising directly with council clients and stakeholders


• Coordinating material orders, deliveries, and subcontractors


• Supporting the Project Manager with program and cost tracking

What we're looking for:


• Practical civil site experience (footpaths, drainage, kerb & gutter, carparks, etc.)


• Strong communication and problem-solving skills


• Ability to coordinate multiple small-scale projects


• Proactive, hands-on approach to quality and safety

Skills and Qualifications

  • 3 + years of practical experience as a project and site management.
  • Demonstrated site management experience with civil infrastructure projects.
  • Competence in identifying issues and proposing practical solutions.
  • Effective communication with team members and stakeholders
  • Proficiency in prioritizing task, meeting deadlines and allocating resources.
  • Success in delivering projects on time and on budget
