Sydney, New South Wales, Australia DesignInc Full time
The Role

DesignInc Sydney is looking for a BIM Coordinator who combines design technology mastery with a strong architectural mindset. This role suits someone who thrives at the intersection of digital design, scripting, and construction delivery — a problem solver who brings clarity to complexity and innovation to collaboration.   This is a 'hands on' role and we need someone with a positive attitude to take on each new task, no matter how big or small as you will be supporting all project teams under the direction of the DT Manager.

You'll be part of our Design Technology team, supporting projects through all BIM phases — from model setup to handover.

Your work will focus on:
  • Maintaining and enhancing Revit models with precision and creativity.
  • Developing scripts and automation tools in Dynamo and Grasshopper (bonus points for Python or C#).
  • Building and maintaining high-quality Revit content aligned with project and client standards.
  • Supporting data management, asset tagging, and IFC/COBie workflows, ensuring robust and reliable model data.
  • Setting up and maintaining models in Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), and clash detection environments in ACC, Navisworks, and Revizto.
  • Ensuring standards enforcement, model maintenance, and regular health checks to sustain model quality and compliance.
  • Collaborating with architects, engineers, and project teams to ensure BIM deliverables meet design and construction objectives.
  • Applying your understanding of construction processes and industry standards to achieve real-world efficiency.
  • Helping a team of architects and engineers with DE processes.

Qualities and Skills for this position include:
  • Expert knowledge of Revit and Rhinoceros.
  • Proven scripting ability — Dynamo and Grasshopper are essential; Python or C# highly regarded.
  • Experience in Revit family creation and content management.
  • Strong understanding of the construction industry and digital design workflows.
  • Capability to manage and process data, including asset tagging and classification (Uniclass, COBie, etc.).
  • Experience on TfNSW projects or within government frameworks is a plus.
  • At least 3 years' experience in BIM coordination or similar digital design roles.

Why Join Us?

At DesignInc, we believe great design starts with collaboration and curiosity. You'll work alongside a dedicated team passionate about architecture, innovation, and sustainability, in an environment that values growth, learning, and balance.

You'll also have the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge Digital Engineering and BIM initiatives, with access to tools like Revit, Rhino, Navisworks, Revizto, Enscape, Guardian, and more.

We are on the look-out for a high calibre applicant who is not only talented but also enjoys a dynamic, progressive, challenging and fun workplace.

If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you
