This leading higher education provider is seeking an experienced Project Manager to deliver enterprise-scale cloud based initiatives.

In your brand new role, you will lead the end-to-end delivery of cloud migration, deployment, and optimisation projects, ensuring outcomes are secure, cost-effective, and aligned to organisational strategy. You will work closely with technical teams, vendors, and senior stakeholders in a complex environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery of cloud migration, deployment, and optimisation initiatives.
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, and resources using Microsoft Project (MPP).
  • Manage stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams, providing clear status, risk, and issue reporting.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies across multiple workstreams.
  • Ensure compliance with cloud security, governance, and regulatory standards.
  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost controls.
  • Oversee quality assurance, testing, and successful handover of cloud solutions.

Skills and experience

  • Proven delivery of complex IT or cloud transformation projects.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Azure and/or AWS (knowledge of GCP desirable).
  • Solid understanding of cloud architecture, networking, security, and virtualization.
  • Advanced project scheduling skills using Microsoft Project (MPP).
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and vendor management capabilities.
  • Demonstrated experience managing risk, issues, and interdependencies.
  • Knowledge of cloud governance, compliance, and security frameworks.
  • Experience leading cross-functional technical teams.
  • Experience with hybrid cloud or VDI environments highly regarded
  • Working knowledge of JIRA and Confluence highly regarded
  • Agile, PMP, PRINCE2, and/or cloud certifications (Azure/AWS) preferred
