Your Role: Lead specialised risk management for our loyalty ecosystem, protecting program integrity. Design and implement robust risk frameworks tailored to loyalty operations, including fraud prevention, points liability management, and regulatory compliance, while fostering a risk-aware culture within the Loyalty program.

Collaborative Impact: Partner closely with loyalty operations, finance, and program teams to enhance risk management practices across the Loyalty platform. Your specialised expertise will guide investigations into program anomalies, risk assessments, and member account security, cultivating strong risk governance within our loyalty portfolio.

What You'll Protect:

  • Member point balances and transaction integrity
  • Revenue streams and redemption networks
  • Financial accuracy of loyalty liability reporting
  • Program compliance with consumer protection regulations

Day to day you'll be…

  • Provide expert advice on fraud prevention, detection, and response
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to implement fraud prevention strategies
  • Prepare regular reports on fraud trends, KPIs, and incident outcomes
  • Support audits and compliance reviews related to program operations
  • Monitor key transactions to detect unusual patterns and potential fraud
  • Promote a culture of robust risk management and continuous improvement
  • Develop and maintain fraud detection rules, alerts, and machine learning models
  • Investigate suspicious activity and coordinate with internal teams to resolve incidents
  • Conduct root cause analysis and recommend process improvements to reduce risk exposure
  • Design, develop and implement operational risk frameworks, documentation, assessments and policies

We'd love to hear from you if you have…

  • Strong understanding of Australian regulations
  • 5+ years of experience in operational risk, compliance, or audit
  • Experience in control assurance and incident management
  • Proficiency in risk management software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Demonstrated deep and broad experience as an operational risk subject matter expert across investigations, risk advisory, and fraud monitoring techniques
  • In-depth knowledge of current fraud trends and typologies, with strong skills in fraud prevention, detection, mitigation, and investigation
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build strong relationships with senior leadership stakeholders
  • A proactive self-starter, with excellent organisational skills, capable of working independently and within a team
  • Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business, or related field
