Anyinginyi Health Aboriginal Corporation (AHAC) is a multi-disciplinary organisation which provides primary health care services to the Aboriginal people of Tennant Creek and the surrounding Barkly region, dedicated to 'Closing the Gap' in Aboriginal health within remote Australia.
Anyinginyiconsists of five different sections (Health Services, Business Services, Public Health Unit, Sports and Recreation, and Piliyintinji-Ki Stronger Families) which allow them to have a holistic approach to health ensuring that clients' physical and emotional health and wellbeing is given the utmost priority.

As a small regional center, Tennant Creek does not have the facilities one would find in larger country towns like Katherine or Alice Springs however it does provide for all the basics that most people require. About the Role
The Clinical Services Manager provides leadership, management, and coordination of comprehensive primary health care to the Anyinginyi Health Section, ensuring cultural integrity and high standards of clinical care and client flow.
The position sits within the Health and Medical Services Section and leads a multidisciplinary team of Registered Nurses, Aboriginal Health Practitioners and Allied Health Professionals. The Anyinginyi Clinical Services Manager provides operational leadership to five clinics being, General, Men's and Women's clinics, Remote Health team and Chronic Disease Team with staff operating in the clinic under a shared leadership arrangement with respective managers, furthermore, working collaboratively with all Anyinginyi Health Services and programs.

Responsibilities:
Practice Support
- Registered with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse with minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience in a Senior Clinical Leadership and preferably, training/ qualifications in clinical leadership/management.
- Credentialled to provide and undertake Vaccinations in the Northern Territory.
- Demonstrated experience in collaborating with staff in reform practices of implementing new models of care and workforce development.
- Proven extensive experience in clinical leadership and management of a team resulting in the effective delivery of services to the community, including the ability to implement strategic plans, analyse and address complex issues, and prepare reports and correspondence.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of comprehensive primary health care service delivery and systems as they relate to the Aboriginal community and a demonstrated commitment to Aboriginal Community Control.
- Demonstrated knowledge of quality and accreditation including CARPA standards, RACGP accreditation processes and requirements for primary health care services, program evaluation and the use of evidence-based practices, financial and human resource management, consumer involvement and primary health care planning processes.
- Demonstrated experience in coordinating and managing multi-disciplinary clinical teams from general clinical services through to specialist programs, including Men's and Women's Health, as well as Chronic and Infectious Diseases (i.e. Diabetes, Chronic Kidney Disease, Rheumatic Fever, immunisations) Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, including the ability to negotiate, collaborate and facilitate in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Work with all staff to embed an understanding of National (nKPI) and Northern Territory (NT AHKPI) key performance indicators. Drive engagement with all staff members to ensure all staff are actively working towards improvements within all indicators bi-annually.
Clinical
- Support Clinical staff to triage clients attending the clinic for treatment and assist clients in receiving culturally appropriate care, as required.
- Provide primary health care to clients as needed, with particular reference to wound care, immunisations, comprehensive health assessments, and chronic disease management including preparation of care plans. In collaboration with the Communicare and Data Systems Officer, ensure that training is provided to all staff accessing Communicare to ensure the accuracy of all data entered into Communicare by Anyinginyi Health Staff.
- Work closely with Aboriginal Health Practitioners to maintain and develop culturally appropriate and accessible health services. (CARPA Standard Treatment Manual and Women's Health Manual Awkura/Nganampa).
- Work with the Medicare officer to support all staff and ensure correct Medicare item number are claimed where incentives apply.
- Monitor the safe, confidential and cultural considerations for management of patient records, both paper and electronic.
- Collaborate with other programs in Anyinginyi Health and with other external services, to ensure that clients receive the full range of available health services.
General
- Participate in meetings, conferences and workshops as required by the Health Services Executive Manager.
- Provide reports and documentation as required by the Health Services Executive Manager.
- Be in possession of or have the ability to apply for an OCHRE Card (Working with Children).
- Work cohesively with the Health Services Executive Manager to ensure that all staff are informed of current programs and progress.
- Assist in leading meetings within both the Health Services and individual sections to ensure consistency and transparency in clinical practice.
Reporting Requirements
- Support the Health Services Executive Manager to provide accurate and transparent reports to funding bodies on behalf of Anyinginyi Health Aboriginal Corporation with a focus on accountability for both successes and failure in all areas of Primary Health Care as reported within the funding agreement.
- Support all staff within the Health Services Section to achieve improvements in all Key Performance Indicators through education, timely feedback and the development of Action Plans in these key areas and focus programs.

About you
To be considered for this position, you must possess Current Registration as a Registered Nurse and demonstrate an evidenced understanding of the Primary Health Care system and key issues relevant to closing the gap in health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Demonstrated experience providing a broad range of clinical interventions & possess qualifications to provide Vaccinations within the Northern Territory.
Knowledge of quality and accreditation including RACGP accreditation processes and requirements for primary health care services
Previous experience working with an Aboriginal organisation or communities will be highly regarded but is not essential, provided you are able to demonstrate a clear understanding of the issues pertaining to Aboriginal Primary Health Care and the social determinants of health in our surrounding communities.
