Primary objective
Work within a small, multi-disciplinary team to provide a high level of administrative and intelligence support to the Family Safety
Framework (FSF) and Northern Territory Police Force.
Context statement
The FSF is a multi-organisation, action based, integrated service response to victim-survivors experiencing Domestic, Family and
Sexual Violence (DFSV). The purpose of the FSF is to share information and collaborate on risk management actions to improve
the safety of victim-survivors and increase accountability for perpetrators using violence. The FSF aligns with the NT Government's
Risk Assessment Management Framework (RAMF) which guides workers across the NT in identifying, assessing and managing DFSV
risk. This position reports to the FSF Senior Coordinator and is responsible for the preparation and dissemination of meeting
documents, interrogation of intelligence databases and data collection.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Provide secretariat and intelligence support to the FSF including the preparation and dissemination of meeting documents.
2. Compile statistical data to assist with the management and evaluation of the FSF.
3. Report to the FSF Senior Coordinator and support the FSF project as required including identifying key issues and emerging
trends in the DFSV domain.
- Review available intelligence holdings to identify high risk victims and recidivist offenders.
- Respond to DFSV related enquiries from NT Police, external NT Government agencies and Non-Government Organisations.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Demonstrated experience in preparing agendas, recording minutes and maintaining other administrative reports.
2. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail when interpreting and inputting data.
3. Sound knowledge of computer systems and records management, or the ability to obtain quickly.
4. Prior experience operating in a fast-paced environment with strong organisational and time management skills.
5. Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
6. Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
7. Ability to manage confronting subject matter in a professional, confidential and ethical manner.
8. Ability to identify and escalate concerns to the FSF Senior Coordinator when required.
Desirable
1. Relevant tertiary qualifications.
Experience utilising SerPro, intelligence style databases, or other complex databases to obtain information.
Completion of the NT Government's Risk Assessment Management Training (RAMF) or willingness to complete.
