Hourly rate starting: $34.78 based on experience per hour Plus 25% casual loading (plus Super plus NFP Salary Packaging)

genU is looking for experienced Support Workers who can team up with our customers to help them unleash their full potential. You will be making a real impact by helping people with disabilities through accommodation and community engagement.

We have multiple casual positions available for highly skilled support workers. 

What you'll do

  • Support person-centred plans that identify a customer's life goals and working to achieve them;
  • Support customers in daily living skills such as meal preparation, housekeeping, showering and toileting and medication administration;
  • Ensure positive behaviour support plans are followed; and
  • Administration duties and mandatory reporting

 What you'll bring

  • Experience in supporting customers with behavioural support plans;
  • Extensive experience working with challenging behaviours- essential;
  • An understanding and enthusiasm for working alongside people with disabilities;
  • Ability to manage complex or difficult situations as they arise with patience and maturity;
  • Cert III in Disability, Individual Support or higher (or working towards one) is essential;
  • A valid drivers licence and willingness to use your private vehicle (aligned with genU motor vehicle allowance rebate);
