The Education & Technology Sciences Attaché of The Embassy of United Arab Emirates in Canberra oversees and deliver excellence in services and care for the UAE scholarship students in Australia and New Zealand and build long term relationships with Australian and New Zealand educational institutions.

The Education & Technology Sciences Attaché is seeking the service of a talented, highly motivated Academic Advisor.

Duties include and not limited to:

  • Follow-up of scholarship students' academic performance and submit a monthly report to the management.
  • Update student data and results in the academic database.
  • Follow up the enrollment of students at the beginning of each semester and ensure their commitment to the study plan.
  • Communicate with students on a weekly basis and provide advice when needed.
  • Communicating with universities to obtain academic reports at the end of each semester, reviewing reports, and reporting students' results to the management.
  • Review and approve the students' tuition fees and health insurance before transferring it to the finance section.
  • Participate in preparing the plan for periodic student forums and universities visits plan.
  • Provide internship opportunities for scholarship students with the relevant institutions.
  • Maintain a solid relationship with the attaché's key stakeholders.

To be considered for this position you must possess the following personal qualities, skills and experience:

  • Excellent competency in English, Arabic languages.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven understanding of the Australian higher education systems.
  • Positive attitude, good multitasking, and organizational ability.
  • Flexibility to work under pressure and to respond quickly to new demands.
  • Ability to work independently and in a teamwork.
  • Proven time management skills.
  • Bachelor or Master's degree.
