An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic team player to join our team as a Handline Operator.  In this fast-paced and varied role your key responsibilities will include the manual mail processing, ensuring optimum quality and conformance of product to specifications.

The duties of this role include:

  • Ensure that mail is processed as per job instructions/product profiles, quality checked, sorted and labelled correctly for delivery to Australia Post as per procedure.
  • Ensure accurate completion of paperwork and tasks associated with our Quality System (e.g. process logs).
  • Operation of handline mechanical equipment, general maintenance including authorised parts replacement and troubleshooting, within technician guidelines.
  • Segregation of waste and re-location of overs
  • Develop and maintain the required competencies in operating equipment.
  • Consistently deliver high quality work through awareness and adherence to procedures and work instructions.
  • Cross training between departments (as required).
  • Other duties as assigned.

Additionally, you will need:

  • Sound literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Basic PC skills (knowledge of hardware, operating systems, file systems).
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Able to learn new software/hardware packages.
  • Willingness to learn new equipment.
  • Ability to work unsupervised, and within a team environment.
  • Problem solving skills and an ability to multi-task and prioritise.
  • Previous experience operating similar equipment or in a manufacturing role is desirable.
