About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Warehouse Team Leader to join the dynamic team at Laserlite Building Products, located in Archerfield, Queensland.
As a fulltime position, this hands-on role is responsible for leading and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient and effective processes are in place to meet the company's goals.
What you'll be doing
- Co-ordinating and active involvement in daily warehouse activities (receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping)
- Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stocktakes
- Ensure orders are picked, packed, and dispatched accurately and on time
- Operate the use of forklifts and cutting equipment
- Liaise with the sales department to coordinate workflow and address any issues
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes as needed
- Ensure the warehouse environment is clean, organized and well-maintained
What we're looking for
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Team Leader or similar head role in a distribution environment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and delegate effectively
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Basic computer literacy (MS Excel, Word, email)
- Thorough understanding of warehouse operations, including inventory control, health and safety, and quality assurance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- A problem-solving mindset and the ability to think critically to identify and implement improvements
