Sydney-based hospitality group, Liquid & Larder, are searching for an experienced, energetic Sommelier to join the team at Lottie on a casual basis with opportunity for growth in hours and experience.

About The Role:

You will bring sharp attention to detail and confident communication, ensuring every guest experience feels seamless, intuitive, and personal.

Working closely with the small wine team, you'll share passion and knowledge, inspire excellence, and engage both staff and guests. Your drive for teamwork gives you the versatility to support the floor as needed, at times you may be called upon to assist in table management without the assistance of the waitstaff, requiring you to understand all aspects of our sequence of service.

The ultimate aim is to go above and beyond, exceeding customers' expectations, and leaving them thoroughly satisfied, wanting for nothing.

Your Day to Day:

Ensure wine out of stock lists are up to date with stock availability and vintages

Wine cellar Mis en Place complete & clean and service ready

Maintains wine stock and par levels

Ensures efficient, professional guest experience

Communicate efficiently between all departments within the venue.

Ensures wastage is kept to a minimum

Assists in providing constant management of the venue's budget and cost of goods sold (COGS).

Carries out additional duties required to fulfil the position and as requested, this includes hosting and assisting waitstaff with service.

About You:

Proven experience in a within a premium or hatted venue

A confident and calm demeanour

Preferably CMS or W-Set Level 2 or above certified

A genuine passion for hospitality and being of service

Familiar with Italian varietals

Strong organisational and communication skills

Availability to work a flexible roster, including weekends and evenings
